nothing all that complicated is needed. If your jre 1.2.2 is correctly
installed the rest happens by itself. Are you using the html converter to
get your html page ready

Subject: Re: Can I use Swing with applet on IE4 and IE5?
Hello All,
Java Console is not getting displayed after installing the JRE 1.2.2
1. I installed JDK1.2.2(without JRE)
2. after that i installed JRE 1.2.2
3. I set the "Java Run Time Environment to JRE 1.2 in C:\Program
Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.2 -- in Advanced Panel" in Java Plugin Control panel.
4. I tick (Checked) the "Enable Java Plug-In" in Basic panel of Java Plugin
console.
5. While opening the browser i'm not getting the Java 2 Control panel. It's
not
opening automatically. If i open the java console it's opening the default
console (JRE 1.1.5)
6. Because of this i'm getting class verification error while running my
JApplet, reason being the rt. jar of 1.1.5 doesn't contain the
JComponent.class
and it's subclasses.
7. How to enable/get the Java 1.2 plugin panel automatically ???
please tell me the way to execute my Applet.... (one way is to achieve this
i
can
pack the JComponent/sub classes into a jar file and i can run it). But if
the
browser
enables the Java plugin panel automatically, I don't need to pack anything
in
the jar.
