You can prevent the user from going back (ie, disable Back) -- This can be
achieved by setting the previous page to expire...etc..

But to prevent switching between windows, u need to use Modals - This works
with IE only. This prevents switching. But u ned to check if it really
meets ur needs. There are 2 modals - System and application modals. Check
it out.

To prevent resizing, open this application window in a new window with
disabled resize buttons and no toolbar. This solves Back too. Becoz on
click of Back there wud be no page to be displayed as the window is a child
one.

Hello all,

I would like to know if my servlet would stop a user from toggling between
windows during a particular session, say there is an online test being
administered and the student has the answers in a previous page. My servlet
should stop the user from toggling between windows or to go back and look
up the answers. It should also stop the user from resizing the window size,
by keeping it the default full screen size. Any suggestions will be
appreciated. I understand that the requirements are quite strange but my
application needs these. There is one more thing that I would like to know.
Is there a way that we can stop the user from using the printscreen option
when an online test is being administered?

Thanks

Kalyan
