Hi,
That you have to take care in ur code, ie. suppose u have a connection
pool for each server(say u have two database servers) , then in ur programs
u have to check whether the first server is down.or otherwise write an
independent module which does this and return the connection , u as a
programmer/developer doesn't bother whether the server is down or up and
call this module's methods to have the connection..........

hope this will help u

Subject: db connection has to survive-how?

hi,

I 'm accessing an Oracle database throgh a connection.
My objective is the connection should remain same even if
the database gets closed, by getting directed to it's
mirror database.
For this, connection has to know whenever a database
is down/failing , so that then it gets directed to
db mirror site.Pls tell me how can I know this.

thanx in advance,
J
