Hi,
I need to store chinese charaters to database,
I use a servlet to read the chinese text from a
textarea
Eg. String chinese =
request.getParameter("Chinesetext");
if i put this string to database it stores only
30 characters(because each chinese character is stored
as eightnumbers eg. "ㄉ" for one character
i'll be grateful if anyone can tell me how to encode
this to database so as it is stored as a single
character
i use IBM's DB2 as database
and the field is text char(255) DB2 does not allow
to store more than 255 characters
drop me your suggestions
