Connection pool

I have two questions :

1) What exactly is the difference between a Connection Pool and a Connection
Broker ?
- I use a Connection Pool, but i don't know in what a Connection Broker
differs.

2) Can someone recommend a good ConnectionPool or Connection Broker tool to
use with Tomcat/servlets and mySQL ?
