Can a POST request not have a QueryString()?
I have deployed some servlets over the net where I have used QueryStrings
with post requests and they worked well with Tomcat.
Looking at the RFC2616, section 9.5, there is no restriction on the
Request-URI for the POST mehtod. RFC says "The actual function performed by
the POST method is determined by the server and is usually dependant on the
Request-URI.".
As per my understanding this means that I can pass query string in the URI
even if the method is POST. The query string may help the server to process
the request.
Is my understanding correct here?
