Subject: Re: How to dploy a seervlet on weblogic?

Hi

When I am deploying a servlet (this is just a servlet and not a servlet
contained within a war), I copy the servlet class file to the weblogic
directory: <weblogic install dir>\myserver\servletclasses in it full package
directory ie. for a servlet in the package com.company.cool.servlets I would
copy the class file to :

<weblogic install dir>\myserver\servletclasses\com\company\cool\servlets

I then edit the weblogic.properties file to let the server know about the
new servlet:

weblogic.httpd.register.LogViewer=\
        com.company.cool.servlets.LogViewer

If your servlet has any init args then you add them as follows :

weblogic.httpd.initArgs.LogViewer=\
        dataSource=OraclePoolDataSource,\

You then set the permissions on the servlet:

weblogic.allow.execute.weblogic.servlet.LogOn=everyone

Restart the server and all should be well. I hope this helps !! The news
groups at BEA (newsgroups.bea.com) might be able to help you more if you are
still stuck.

Lee
