To precise it, the default ports for the JavaWebServer2.0 are:

port 8080:      docport (so try out http://<servername>:8080/ , and you will get
the default-page)
port 9090:  adminport (to administrate the web server...
http://<servername>:9090/)

        In the URL, u must also provide the port number...thus the syntax
wud be.. http://<servername>:portnumber/
typically..the port number is 9090.

I have javawebserver2.0 run using the httpd command,
When I try to access my server using the
http://<server_name>
the index file which is in the public-html is not starting...
The browser retruns the page not found message....

Please throw some light in what may be wrong.
