This is WRONG as well.

People use POST to transfer images files for goodness sake!

There is no POST limit except server implementation limits (and I
don't know of *any* servers that impose limits as low as 2Kb).

If you have come up against a limit of 2000 characters then change
the server you use because it's obviously rubbish.

So is most of the advice in this thread.


If you're reading this thread on the archives I hope you've either
read just the correct posts or *all* the posts.
