Hello,
I have a question that deals with search engine. We currently have weblogic as our
app server and have an EJB layer to access data from our database.

We have an app that can retrieve hundreds of records. There is a concern to bring
back an unlimited amount of record hence we are thinking of limiting what we bring
back to 200 records at a time.

My concern is when we page through the records, we are not accessing the database but
reading the records from memory. We provide a filter for the users to select the
records they want to see (i.e. by a certain zip code). If we are limited to 200
records, the result from the filter will not be accurate. How do other search engines
deal with this?

Eak
