Hi all,

I am currently involved in a shopping application project on a PDA
that allows a user to shop.

I am using Servlets, JDBC(With SQL Queries) and Access DB on my
server side. Sun's JSDK2.1.

My query is with the JDBC-SQL part.
I hope someone of you guys can help me or advise me on what would be
the best approach.Of course sample code would be good too!!
Firstly, I'd like to explain whats happening:

Description:
===========================================================
Client has a list of check boxes related to products which they can
choose to buy.
They check the products they want to purchase and submit.

Servlet accepts the request and creates a query for the database. The
database has 3 fields, Products(listing the products), Shop1 (listing
the prices for each matching product), Shop2(listing the prices for
each matching product).

Database ONLY gets the sum/total price, of the products that were
checked by the client and return with the total cost for EACH
shop....ie on the client side: Shop1 Costs X and Shop2 costs Y!

Problem:
============================================================
Because the choices picked by the client can vary each time, how can
I arrange my query in the servlet to deal with this, something that
varies everytime?

If I gave the client the choice of choosing say 2 milk, 1 butter, 3
bread...etc, then how could I implement that? How would I represent
more than 1 quantity of the same item in the same query?

Guys, any help at all may go along way to helping me in this problem,
I need some guidance/help.

Kind Regards,
Jennifer
