It can't be done with either the JDK or JSDK's default tools. Word's .doc
format is binary, Word compiles the document into this format. You could
use RTF, which is basically an ASCII document filled with tags much like
HTML is. Plus RTF supports almost everything you would like to do with a
Word document.
There could be an API around that could help you with .doc's; maybe somebody
else in the forum could help.
