You might want to check out the archives for the
advanced-servlets list. The "To avoid Duplicate Logins"
thread might help:

One suggestion: If you decide to post to the
advanced-servlets list, double check the iPlanet website
and maybe try a google search first. If that doesn't
help, mention in your message where you looked and
what you've tried. That kind of context helps people
figure out what sort of answer to give (and prevents
the moderator from sending you warnings :-)
