Try this : "c:\\dir1\\dir2\\filename.txt"
        It works in my case.

Hi

could anybody tell me how tostart a absolute path in a servlet on a
windows98 PC

i tried almost everything ie /, \\, \, D:/, >D:\\ etc

i have also a problem with the relative path wwhen i want to load a
txt-file from within the same directory and i only get
FileNotoundException
