Hi Soonyee,
If you are behind a firewall and u Pc is not authorised to access
internet (that is if ur IP address is not enable for internet access), then
u cant do much about connecting to an external smtp server.
But, if u are authorised (or IP enabled) then u must do the
following steps:
1. connect to the smtp server thru Javamail.
2. Get ur self POP authenticated. (most of the commercial SMTP
servers, like yahoo,require u to be POP authenticated). this is just logging
in to the corresponding POP server.
3. U can now proceed sending mail from the account u have logged in.
