What do you mean by called? Constructed or whenever one of the methods is
called?
If you want to know how many instances of a Servlet have been generated on a
server, I think you can only ever have one running at a time.

Mind you I'm new to servlets so I could be wrong. I once tried to have
multiple instances of a servlet on the same server and it wouldn't let me.
Then again, maybe it was just my setup...
