This may get you better coverage, but it still won't get you to 100%.
What if someone has Java disabled, what if there are network problems,
what if the client browser crashes, etc. (And is invalidating the
session really what you want to do when they simply move to another
page?)
Again, you are inevitably going to have to rely on a timeout facility.
Whether doing what you suggest above is worth it will depend on the
exact goals/requirements of the particular project.
