on click of the button call the servlet and throw a new row from the servlet
to the same html page
create a separate class that reads the value from the # and # and then re
thrwo the page.

<table>
<tbody>
<!--------------row 1------------>
<tr><td><input type=button value="Add row"></td></tr>
<!--------------row 2------------->
<tr>
<td><input type=text name=data></td>
</tr>
 a different format say <!--#newrow#-->

</tdoby>
</table>
