If you are on unix/NT you can control the CLASSPATH for your process without
any assistance from your administrator.

Until you have your site fully up and running you are going to have to make
changes that I believe will annoy your adminstrator.

look at the startserver,startserver.bat script in the jswdk

look at how it initially sets "cp" from a $CLASSPATH setting. you just have
to set CLASSPATH accordingly.

Also, unless you're using thirdparty .jars you only will need to ensure that
you hvae your web apps classes under the appropriate WEB-INF directory

look at how the classpath is set up from

jsdkJars=${baseDir}/webserver.jar:${baseDir}/lib/jakarta.jar:${baseDir}/lib/
servlet.jar
jspJars=${baseDir}/lib/jsp.jar:${baseDir}/lib/jspengine.jar
beanJars=${baseDir}/examples/WEB-INF/jsp/beans:${baseDir}/webpages/WEB-INF/j
sp/beans:${baseDir}/webpages/WEB-INF/servlets
miscJars=${baseDir}/lib/xml.jar
appJars=${jsdkJars}:${jspJars}:${beanJars}:${miscJars}
sysJars=${JAVA_HOME}/lib/tools.jar

you can make whatever changes are appropriate to this file.

I'm more familiar with how tomcat supports webapps and where your classes go
than I am this version of the jswdk which is somewhat old.
