I have explicitly called this line with the following other options:
1: id="0000001"
2: id="x0000001"
The use of quotes, or starting the id with an alpha does not seem to
matter.
Since this is one line of hundreds generated from a query that (even though
it groups on this value) may be duplicated, I've called the line singularly
from another page to eliminate the possibility of duplicate ids on the same
page. Still null. Here's the servlet code, nothing special:
pWOut.println( request.getParameter("id") );
