try 'ls -l' for the repertory where you want to write the file
if it is not writeable for Apache ...
you should have something like 777
code means rwx rwx rwx r:read w:write x:execute
             owner group other

it not necessary 777 if the owner is apache

Objet : question about jserv, apache, filewriting

Hi all

First of all I'm sorry about my bad english. And I'm sorry about my stupid
question espacially when it's an offtopic old problem.
My problem is: I've got an apache webserver and a jserv for servlets.
I've got a client server program. The server side try to make a pdf
file(now it's working)and save it to the disk, and after this the server
side send only an URL to
the clients, and they can see this pdf with a browser. Problem is that
filewriting is not working. I guess something is wrong with the apache or
jserv config. Server side is some class, they were beeing instantiated by
a servlet. These class are on a linux server, beside the jserv and apache.
So filewriting is not working. I try to make a little log in the servlet
but it's not working as well!
Please write some solutions!

                Thank you very much!!!!

                                bye
                                                bigZolee
