Hi,
I am writing a servlet for a web based calendar
...but have problems while setting the User TimeZone
How do you set the TimeZone in the Calendar class
I am using :
Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
TimeZone tz=calendar.getTimeZone();
tz.setRawOffset(36000000);
calendar.setTimeZone(tz);
Date today = new Date();
calendar.setTime(today);
This works perfectly..It gives me the time for
MelBourne
but when I print
System.out.println(calendar.getTimeZone().getID());
its still gives the ID for my local TimeZone...and
thus does not adjust DST ....
Why is such a behaviour??
Please Help. This is Urgent..
Thanx in advance for a quick reply
Purav
