just for clarification.
why do want the session to be invalidated after the user returns to a page
he had seen before?
or do you mean that after a user left your app (i.e. took some logout
action) and his session was invalidated, he returns to your app using the
back-button and your servlet doesn't complain his missing session and still
prints out stuff that's only to be printed out if a user has a valid
session?

which servlet-container are u running? which browser?
