Hi
What you need is a distributed shared memory.
JavaSpaces is currently the only solution for that. It provides a very
simple api (write , read and take) for storing and sharing objects. It
also supports transactions , leasing , persistency and dynamic discovery
which makes it extremely powerful. We had recently built a demo that
illustrate how two web application can share session information between
themselves. The example that we had used is a kind of a shared basket
via which consumers can purchase products say a cd and a book from two
separated sites. Since the basket is shared both sites can access it and
put their items with in it.

You can find reference about the technology in sun JINI web site
www.jini.org and in our web site www.j-spaces.com. I would suggest that
you would contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] who is the person who actually delt
with the above example.

Hope this helps.

Subject: How to share a common object between two servelts?

Hello All,
I've two servlets running in different ports. How do share a common
object between these two servelts. Once the values updated by Servlet-1
i would like to use the LATEST values (with out accessing the DB) from
Servlet-2. Or Can i get the Servlet Context of Servlet-1 from Servlet-2.

Thanx in advance!!!

Regards
G S Sundaram
