Try reading the setup instructions and tutorial (RTFM) at
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/tutorial/. There are several chapters in the
middle of the tutorial ("Web Technology") that deal exclusively with
servlets and JSPs. But if I were you - assuming you know nothing about you
are about to get into - I would download Tomcat 3.2.1 from
http://jakarta.apache.org and the servlet SDK (JSDK 2.1) from
http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/archive.html. Tomcat comes with a
short tutorial for getting you started with servlets and JSPs and is MUCH
simpler than deploying a J2EE application. Neither, however, is trivial.
Have patience and read carefully.
Cheers!
Mark
