Hi Folks I am new to servlet design and want to know if it is better when designing a web application to have 1. All requests go to one main handler servlet which redirects to the required service, this service may be another servlet or web page. 2. Have requests go straight to the required service, ie have many different servlets web pages which can be accessed directly. Currently I like 1) since I can put some common code in the main handler server, ie logging security checks But I want to know if this is the way to go. Can someone please give me their thoughts on this matter or any links to somewhere on the web which deals with this issue.
