Hi Tom,
The parser and transformer I use are Xerces and Xalan respectively. They are
both avaliable at http://xml.apache.org/

They are really easy to use - there are a couple of examples given with Xalan
and if you can follow those, then you should have no problems.

If you need more info/help, just let me know.
Liam

Subject: Servlet & xml project

I need some advise for a small school project using a servlet to parse
through an XML document and display it in html. I would like to search,
insert and update data. The data could be in a database or "probably" in a
file. This is a demonstation project so nothing real life. I know from
searching on google that there are plenty of tools out there to do this. I
need to know if there is one that stands out from the other parsers.

Tom K.
