I am currently reading "Inside Servlets 2nd Edition" by Dustin R. Callaway,
published by Addison Wesley, and it seems to be a very good book so far. I
prefer it to Marty Hall's "Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages" (not that there
is anything wrong with that book).

Java Servlet Programming 2nd Edition, by Jason Hunter with william Crawford,
published by O'Reilly, is also an excellent book.

Best of luck to you. I am currently trapped in the QA world and am desperately
trying to learn all I can about this language/platform to try and land that
coveted first programming job. I hope to get Sun certification later this year
or early next.
