Subject: Request Dispatcher across Domains
Hello,
I have my application server (Weblogic) inside my intranet. There is an
i-planet web server which is accessible from the internet. Between iPlanet
and Weblogic, I have a firewall.
iPlanet stores all the static HTML pages and GIFs while Weblogic will host
the application. The client cannot access Weblogic Server directly because
of the firewall. So the requst comes to iPlanet which has to dispatch that
request to Weblogic application (servlets).
I intended to have a servlet on iPlanet which would dispatch the request to
the servlets on WebLogic using RequestDispatcher.forward and
RequestDispatcher.include but I am not sure whether they would work in this
case. The machines may not be in the same domain either.
Please suggest a suitable way on doing that.
Thanx a lot in anticipation.
