Hi,

It is possible but this is database specific.

Ex. In Oracle, run the following SQL command (after connecting as user "SYSTEM"
to the db with the appropriate passowrd)

select username from dba_users;

The resultset will contain a list of all the users (I guess this is what you are
after).  The catch is that the SYSTEM is a DBA user and this user is generally
not advised to login the system for application specific tasks, but surely this
can be worked around by your DBA.  Maybe you can speak to him!  :-)
