Hi, I think that request to port 8080 are send by apache server to tomcat engine. So you need tomcat servlet engine (but you can use an other server)
Try this : 1 put your appservlet.class in the $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/examples/virtualexample/web-inf/classes directory 2 launch tomcat. 3 try http://localhost:8080/examples/servlet/appservlet 4 good luck !
