Hi

And what is the problem ? When you first want to run : Shockwave,
RealPlayer, Media player, QuickTime etc --> they tell you : To run that
movie you need this or that plug-in Would you like to download it ?? And
everybody says Yes, download the plug-in and watch the movie or the flash
animation. That's the way to go.

Microsoft will never include Quicktime plug-in on Windows --> they rae
competitors --> same thing for Applets.

If you want to write your applet with AWT then no problem, no plug-in. But
if you want to use Swing and all the cool features --> then a user must
download the plug-in THAT'S IT !! Where is the problem ??

Where I have a problem with is Microsoft XP where there will be no JVM.
Download a plug-in for Swing it's ok but a download to get a basic JVM that
is not cool --> and clearly a strategic move from Microsoft to try to slow
down Java band Wagon ---> they are so late with .NET

And another thing for developpers in a big Intranet : put the plug-in on a
CD and install it yourself --> 30 sec per computer...
