Subject: mail/archives.java.sun.com scheduled downtime
On Monday, Oct. 22, SSG IT Infrastructure Operations will conduct a
migration of mail.java.sun.com and archives.java.sun.com to new servers.
The new servers are new hardware with updated versions of the
operating system and application software.
We will begin the migration process at 10am Pacific time, and we expect
approximately two hours of downtime beginning around 11am. During this
time, incoming mail will not be accepted, though it should not be for so
long as to cause any bounced messages. The web-based archives and
administrative tools will also not be available; all web requests will
be redirected to a maintenance page. This period of unavailability is
necessary to ensure that all mail messages are handled, and that the
archives are complete.
