Dear All,

1. When I logged on this list the very first time I had just completed installing all the versions
of tomcat servlet engine & Apache  webserver. My reasons behind this was obviously to find out
any enhancements or fixes which occurred since buying JSP PRO the book.
That was the first time I had bought a book in my IT career.
I am used to using commercial tools and professional formal training.
I have spent some five years in development and the only thing I know
are full lifecycle projects. I have worked on :-
Aircraft Fuel Management Systems.
Aircraft Engine monitoring systems.
Mult-million pound Customer Care & billing systems for the telecom industry.
My latest stint was a two years in a software house where I completed
some projects whilst in charge of others but mostly trouble shooting.

2. I noticed that two people were asking each other questions and answers on this line.
Their question was I have just setup a webserver and it doesn't work.
The reply was that one should rename the .asp to index.jsp.

3. Personally I have never heard of such a pathetic description of a technical problem
during my career in IT. I also noticed that one of the versions of tomcat had an alias
for spoofing servlets.

4. Feeling a bit sorry I decide to show those people how to describe a technical problem.
I also left a clue that there is an enhancement.

5. It has also been confirmed that the account pretending to be a Pakistani was not a Pakistan
furthermore I have no idea  what "you will find everything you want up there" means.

6. Solaris 8 - My intention of logging the solaris 8 issue on this line was to report that my model of CD
re-writer isn't supported. The appropriate person contacted me and I reported the issue to him,
which he confirmed. I was asked by one job interviewee if you had ever used Unix because it appeared
that I do not know how to install an operating system. Actually it may not have occurred to anybody here
but there is plenty of hardware not supported by some O/S. My CD DD R/W is one of them.
I know of another very serious problem.

7. I was informed that Oracle has CRM as a result of my postings about Datablades on another job interview.
I was informed that they have very high standards by the employment agencies.
Actually you couldn't possibly have high standards because you don't know what Datablades are.
There is another fundamental point you have overlooked about Databases and Java.

8. A lady asked me was it difficult to set up tomcat.
No I was being polite to the people who were renaming everything to index.html.
It was just a port listener  & text parser to me with some
logic meeting specification.
I don't personally write such tools but I know how they work.
Thanks for the concern it was very nice of you.

Best Regards,
Zahid
