I meant policies not permissions. Actually permissions too. But just
as important are the worker.properties and the uriworkermap.properties
files.

        First read through this:
                    http://www.vacodi.com/howto/tomcat/iisnt/index.html
          Then this:
                http://www.verysimple.com/scripts/support_tc_iis.html
Thank you to the authors of both.
Some things to add to this though.
One: u dont have to add /*.jsp=ajp12 as the second doc says.
u can add it as /*=ajp13.
Two: i was getting a prompt to download the jsp when i first
did it.
The problem was that u cant just restart tomcat and web
publishing service.
You have to first shutdown tomcat. Restart (using stop and
restart option in services tool)
IIS Admin Site and then restart tomcat.
The same restart procedure also cured my red arrow problems.
Hope that helps.

When you say proper permissions, can you tell me what permissions these
might be.
I've re-started the IIS admin service, but to no avail.
Still red arrow pointing down.

Thanks
Tony

Assuming that you set proper permissions. Go to Services and restart IIS
Admin Server.. this will shut down and restart FTP Server if ur running one
and Web Publishing ... as well.
After those restart.. look at the arrow again.

Subject: Help with loading Tomcat on IIS

I have IIS 5.0 running, and Tomcat 3.3 running, but I cant get them to work
together.

Here is what I've done so far.
I've installed the JDK and set the JAVA_HOME variable
I've installed Tomcat and set the TOMCAT_HOME variable

When I go to http://localhost:8080 everything is fine

I've downloaded the isapi_redirect.dll file and placed it into the
c:\tomcat\bin directory
I've downloaded the ispai_redirect_2000.reg file, and imported the
information into the registry.

Next I opened the IIS console and created a virtual directory called
jakarta, pointing to the c:\tomcat\bin directory
Then I added the ISPAI filter called jakarta, pointing to
c:\tomcat\bin\isapi_redirect.dll

After doing all of this, I stop and start the Web Service, stop and re-start
Tomcat.
I can get to http://localhost
and http://localhost:8080

But where the problem is when I check to make sure that the ISAPI filter is
installed properly, It displays a RED arrow pointing down, instead of a
GREEN arrow pointing up.

Can anyone tell me where I went wrong.
Thanks

Anthony Diodato
