How about this.

How to I tell IIS prompt for authentication. If I can get that far, then I
should be able to figure out how to use this .dll to do the work. I new to
IIS, and still trying to learn everything about it.

Thanks

You need MS Visual C++, and when you open a new project you are offered the
option of creating an ISAPI DLL. This will give you the framework to wrap
access to your DLL.

Hope this helps.

Please.

The way that the site works is that there are three levels of
authentication.
Support
Purchasing
Admin

This .dll handles all of this.
The more information you could find the better.

Thanks in advance,
I really appreciate it,
Tony

We use one with IIS and Websphere. It was written by another group here so I
don't have specifics other than looking in the Microsoft MSDN library for
ISAPI filters. You attach the filter to the
Website via MMC (Microsoft Management Console), and adjust its priority
relative to competing filters.

I can get you more info if you need it.

Im developing a support website in Java and XML. I have a .dll that does
authentication.
So when my customers go to http://website/action/login it will prompt them
for a log.

The current system uses ORielly Web Server and JRun, and in order to get the
.dll to work I had to make entries into the registry.
The new site is using IIS & Tomcat. Does anyone have an idea how I could
tell IIS to go to this .dll for authentication when they hit the above url.

Thanks in advance
