Well everything you just said is why people use Java. Also here is something I saw a while back that may be of interest and help to you. Maybe this college student wants a contract with you and DoD Biometric Fusion Center... Whoa!
Dear group, I was wondering if someone here on the group could help me out. Here is my situation: Okay, I have just recently plunged myself into the Java servlet world. I have just completed my first decent-sized web application that uses Java servlets and a small MYSQL database. It's a christmas gift for my girlfriend. Basically it is an online exam system that allows you to create new exams, add questions, takeexams, etc. Each time you take the exam, the order of the questions, and possible answers for each question changes due to the algorithm that theservlets use. Now, I have been hosting this web application on my local Orion web server at http://salvaje.dyndns.org ...therefore I don't have much financial backing. ...
