first ,you should name the left frame as 'leftFrame' and the right 'rightFrame'.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
then,in leftFrame,some codes like this:
<a href="servlet/servletForRightFrame?someparameters=value" target="rightFrame">Update
RightFrameContent</a>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you also want to update the leftframe,there are two method.
1.first,your can write some javascript function to change the content as the
following:
function changLeftFrame(){......}
then change the attribute of a href tag like this:
<a href="servlet/servletForRightFrame?someparameters=value" target="rightFrame"
onclick="changeLeftFrame()">Update RightFrameContent</a>
2.if you must interactive with web server,you can do like this:
function changeLeftFrame()
{
...//
form1.submit();
}
<form name="form1" action="servlet/servletChangeLeftFrame" >
...//some form field goes here,like <input type=hidden name=currentselect
value=1></input>
<a href="servlet/servletForRightFrame?someparameters=value" target="rightFrame"
onclick="changeLeftFrame()">Update RightFrameContent</a>
</form>
