Hi Priya, If you are using Tomcat 4.0.4 you dont have to download mail.jar or activation.jar separately because it ships with these jar files. So if your program is not working it may be because of the conflicting versions.
Hope this helps karthikeyan. ----- Original Message ----- From: "priya" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 10:06 AM Subject: Java Mail API > > I am unable to use the javax.serveice.connect method. > I have JDK1.4 version and have downloaded the mail.jar,pop3.jar and > activation.jar for my JAVA Mail API. > Pls tell me where I am wrong. > I set the classpath for these jars. > Help neede.. > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body > of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST". > > Archives: http://archives.java.sun.com/archives/servlet-interest.html > Resources: http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/external-resources.html > LISTSERV Help: http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/user/user.html > ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST".
