On struts-users, the moderators are great guys (Craig McClanahan and Ted Husted) and allow OT posts on Fridays (and only on Fridays). The list users reached a consensus to address the concerns of the humorless and anal by including an identifier ([FRIDAY] or [OT]) in the subject and those that do not care to have their mailboxes cluttered with OT discussions or nonsense simply filter it out with their email apps. Until we did this, there were some very angry debates. This solution seems satisfactory to everybody.
