If you had hotmail's actual SMTP hostname, and the authentication that would
probably be needed (probably your hotmail username and password) then you
could send it to that smtp hostname yes, but ive never done it so I dont
know.

Alternatively if you're running the web server in linux, then sendmail
within linux can easily provide the local smtp server you need.

Is it possible to send email directly from an applet or application to a
mail server like hotmail without going through my mail server??
