The scenario is like this.

I have an html page which contains two links both pointing to the same URL.
These links open the URL in new windows.

At this URL are hosted some servlets which process the requests. The
requests go through an authentication filter , if it is the request for the
home page ( the link specified in the html page mentioned above).
Authentication filter checks whether the request is attached to any session
by checking on a session attribute. If the attribute is not found, filter
will pass the request through an authentication routine otherwise let it
skip that.

The problem is that when I click on the first link on the html page, the
control passes through authentication routine. But if I let this window open
and click on the second link , the request detects the existing session
created in the first window and the authentication routine is skipped. Is
there any way, I can create a new session here for authentication purpose
and not use the existing one.

Thanks,
shailesh
