I haven't done any detective work, I was replying to klute simply assuming (based on the post) that he/she didn't know that this list was extremely busy some time ago.
I know you've been on this list for a long time. I do not know why you're bringing up religion and what brought out that rant? Hopefully everything is going well for you.
Na razie ;) d.

David,
Great detective work! Except I have a different email address, that only has the first letter of my last name. I've probably been a member on this list since it was started. But that is not the point. I am agonistic when it comes to technology. I have no religion with Sun or Microsoft. I can still remember when Novell was king and I became a CNE thinking it would last forever. Nothing last forever, Nothing! If it makes business sense to go with a newer and better technology then don't be a fool, go with it. A company may make the best buggy whip out there, but there aren't any more horse drawn buggies. By the way I have a large project I am working on in java, but it doesn't stop me from looking.
My apologies to everyone on this list... all four of you :-)

I can see that you weren't on this list a year or two ago when it was simply ridicoulus traffic-wise. Just check the archives.
No promotion was necessary. The real reason is what Milt said: people have moved on to other things that pose problems. Servlets are established technology that works well.

Hey Kevin,
I'm still here. I still do servlets. I was wondering the same thing! I've invested a lot of time in java and I believe the language needs a boost or I will switch to .Net (kicking and screaming of course). Where are the jobs?
