It's approximately possible if you use an MP Enumeration List with hierarchical values. In this case the hierarchy would be displayed in the portal as a tree (in SP1+) not as a drop down + drop down.

For example: First list will show me 4 companys: Company A Company B Company C Company D Then each company has 4 different departments.
