Hi,
In the following article you can read a little bit more about 3D Secure
which is the likely successor of both SET and 3D-SET
http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2718017,00.html
A thing that caused my attention was the fact that it is supposed to
be based on Arcot's [I believe patented] authentication technology.
Actually I don't see why customers should need to use another
Internet-bank security solution than they already use today,
as it is actually the bank that does the transaction on the customer's
behalf in the same way as the bank does [often considerably bigger]
account-to-account transactions. Particularly when you consider
the fact that in many countries in Europe, Internet-banks already have
equally sophisticated security solutions like token-devices,
certificates etc.
Comments anyone?
