Subject: Visa 3-D Secure vs MasterCard SPA Whitepaper (now available in zip format)
GPayments has just released its latest whitepaper entitled: "Visa 3-D Secure vs MasterCard SPA: A Comparison of online authentication standards".
Due to some sporadic problems encountered downloading the whitepaper in .pdf format it has now also been made available as a zipped .pdf file. It can be accessed at: http://www.gpayments.com/pdfs/GPayments_3-D_vs_SPA_Whitepaper.zip
Visa 3-D Secure ("Verified by Visa") and MasterCard SPA are two new online authentication standards from Visa and MasterCard designed to protect online payment transactions with a password/PIN. These initiatives are aimed at reducing the incidence of online credit card fraud. This whitepaper compare the standards head to head examining them from the perspectives of cardholders, issuers, merchants and acquirers. It also compares the standards from both a general architecture and a security architecture perspective.
GPayments is focused on authentication and payment solutions for Internet transactions. GPayments has a full ePayments product suite including issuer authentication systems, cardholder applets, internet payment gateways and merchant authentication plug-ins. GPayments is a founding member of the Visa 3-D Secure Forum and a licensed MasterCard SPA implementer.
