Just to take one more whack at a quickly dying horse...I find Setispy to be
an excellent way to monitor the current work unit.  It won't decrease your
processing time, but it will give you lots of info in a concise format.

Also a note on Ramdisk98.. It is a fine program. I use it myself.  But it
will not decrease your processing time.  Seti@home writes to the hard drive
about once a minute.  Seti@home is not hard drive intensive so Ramdisk98
really offers minimal benefit.  I set windows to shut down the hard drive
and tried to run seti exclusively in the ramdisk to save wear and tear on
the hard drive but had lots of trouble waking up the system (getting the HD
to start up)  If randisk cannaot write occassionally to the HD, you will
lose your data.
