Hi Rocky,
I guess I need a life cus I've been wonderin why so many have had problems
with seti and 2k Server...
I was curious about your motherboard, and found a bios link which you
probably have already...but if not..
http://developer.intel.com/design/motherbd/vc/vc_bios.htm
Also for other 2k crashers, this place often has bios links for boards(but
not all, Rocky, I think your's was not here).

Another area to check is are chipset drivers updated? Often, a visit to the
microsoft update page will reveal an updated chipset driver(s) at the bottom
of the page, personalized fot your system,...or...go the the manufacturers
page for your motherboard, ..or..go the the page for the makers of your
chipset.
I'm thinking along these lines because 2k is sorta new, and I got bit by
simply installing 2k and not thinking about the new drivers that were written
for 2k support....Then after that I downloaded the drivers for my alladin v
chipset.
Another area for the 2k crashers to check out is video card/AGP support
capability. 'Specially if your board is AGP 1x with a 66mHz AGP bus(not
system bus). It could be that as seti generated the graphics, it might
crash when trying to thunk down from 100mHz to the AGP 1x 66.
Some might see this as a report of a video driver listed at the end of the
stop line on the stop screen, (above the memory data). If any driver is
listed there-that's where to start looking.
Some might get into this problem if they got a cool new video card for
christmas which supports AGP 2x or 4x, but try to run on an AGP1x
motherboard..it may work, it may not. It may crash intermittently. In any
case, If anyone is getting blue screens, check for a driver listed, check
bios and chipset updates, and check that your new video card supports your
AGP-'specially in the case of AGP 1x motherboards. (ps, ATI's "XPERT 2000")
is a 32 meg card that supports both AGP1X, AND Windows 2000.) ( LOL, GeForce2
MX is a 32 meg card that doesn't always, -guess how I know that!)
Hey Rocky, I think it was your's that may have been rebooting after chunk
transfer...good find in the event log! At least it has the courtesey to
reboot for you!
Hope this helps somebody,
