"Thunderbird" was the codename for the new kind of Socket A-based Athlon
with 256k on-die L2 cache and a few other improvements over the old kind.
If you're going to get one, I'd suggest waiting a month or so until the
133MHz DDR FSB ones are released so you can get a PC2100 DDR SDRAM
motherboard with it. 256 PC133 is a way of saying there's 256 megabytes of
main memory running at 133MHz.
