Well, the verdict is out. I ran both of these quickie WUs. I first ran
them on my fastest box which completed them in 17 seconds each.
Berkeley would not accept them and deleted the result.sah files. So
thinking that it might be a factor of the speed, I reran them on my
slowest box, both at the same time, with two other good WUs running at
the same time (4 separate instances now). This was done to really slow
it down. A little over 10 minutes later, they finished up. Berkeley
would not accept these, either, and once again deleted the result.sah
file. It did not even give the traditional warning of attempting to
send a duplicate result.
Not to leave the puzzle unsolved, I ran a quickie WU that I had DL'd.
This one completed in under 3 minutes. I was successful when I tried to
return it to Berkeley. Not only that, but my stats were updated
properly.
So it appears that Berkeley still accepts quickie WUs, but no longer
accepts results from WUs that you do not personally DL. I wonder why
they did that. Does anyone here know?
